BBK CONFIRM MORE SHOWS

On the back of their highly accomplished sixth album, Doubt Seeds, Australia’s most adventurous guitar band – Bluebottle Kiss – have announced a string of extra dates, as part of an extensive national album launch tour. In addition to playing shows throughout August in Brisbane, Fremantle, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, the band will also play shows in Canberra, Cronulla, Newcastle and Bulli during September.

Audiences in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney will be treated to very special ensemble shows with a revolving 13-piece band, including a horn section and a choir, playing Doubt Seeds right through from start to finish.

A genre-abusing, description-defying double CD, Doubt Seeds confirms frontman Jamie Hutchings as one of Australia’s most innovative and gifted songwriters/producers.

Growing up in a musical family (his father was a professional Jazz musician), Jamie’s voracious appetite for music of all genres has provided a unique foundation for Bluebottle Kiss. Doubt Seeds ably documents the artists and sounds that have influenced him, and provides an index to quality music made between 1950 and 2006.

It also explains the inspiration for earlier Bluebottle Kiss albums and illustrates what happens when an adventurous and talented music fan has a fascination for using the past as a palette, rather than as a paint-by-numbers instruction set.

Don’t overlook what is sure to be regarded as one of the finest releases of the year,
as Bluebottle Kiss takes you on an incredible musical journey.
