MACROMATICS SINGLE AND AVAILABLE

It’s time to get very excited about the first single off the forthcoming Macromantics album. The song title, “Scorch” has endless word play possibilities. It’s hot. It’s scorchin. It’s gonna set your heart on fire. It may give you third degree burns.

It’s a fun tune that y’all can sing along to. Now you can do just that, in the flesh, at one of the following shows around the country.

It’s a great introduction to the new album, Moments in Movement, set for release in September. It offers up a welcome to the wacky world of whizzy word whirler Macromantics.

The full length features ten more banging rap tunes, as well as collaborations with US MC Sage Francis and Melbourne rock n rollers Ground Components. Stay tuned for more details.

But until then, here are the facts for the ‘Scorch Launch’ dates (the rhyming is effortless...)

Dates:
Saturday 2nd September – East Brunswick Club, Melbourne
Saturday 9th September – Spectrum, Sydney

G ALL LOVED UP

Tart, Tangy, Smooth, and oh so lip-smacking Sweet! Aaah yes, time to praise the almighty summer sippin’ thirst quencher, being served up G. Love and Special Sauce style, ice cool and always refreshing.

On their second release for Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records, the Philly boys offer up Lemonade, a series of soul drenched tracks pouring out their blues infused hip-hop, which people have been trying to label for years.

Always the insatiable musical omnivore when it comes to feeding off influences, Lemonade is G. Love’s most stylistically cohesive and focused album yet, & sees him pair up with some of the best players in the game including Ben Harper, Donovan Frankenreiter, Jasper, Dave Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Blackalicious, Marc Broussard, Tristan Prettyman and Jack Johnson on a fourteen song celebration of his iconic career.

And as summer inches closer to us in the southern hemisphere G. & his three musical compatriots who make up the Special Sauce & are going to break the back of winter this October when they bring their pure, fresh, organic summer sound to Australia.

Dates:
Fly By Night, Perth - Sunday October 15
Prince of Wales, Melbourne - Tuesday October 17
The Forum, Sydney - Wednesday October 18
The Zoo, Brisbane - Thursday October 19
