THE VINES
MAKE UNEXPECTED COMEBACK
It was not announced,
and it was not advertised.
A small
performance for friends, family and fans, and
a FREE one at that, last night saw the Vines return
to the stage at the Annandale Hotel, the scene
of their comeuppance at a Triple M sponsored show
a few years back.
But it wasn't on
that stage; instead the
band played under the name Joe Dirt in Raymond
J's Back Bar, a side room that holds only
around
150
people
at the most.
The first band
came
on around 8.30pm, the second around 9.15pm,
and then amazingly the Vines appeared, headlining
the night as they warmed up.
Yes, that's right,
warmed up! It has been mentioned in dispatches
that the Vines will be returning in September,
and that last night's show was a warm-up for a
full-blooded tour, set to return the Vines to the
pre-eminence their songs deserve.
FALLS FEST
2006 TAKES SHAPE
Everyone loves a
surprise but not when it is the news that their
favourite summer festival has sold out before they
even had time to count tent pegs and test torch
batteries. Relax it hasn’t happened…yet….
That’s
what happened last year when The Falls Festival
sold out within days of going on sale
leaving many Falls Festival devotees missing a
key ingredient in their annual pilgrimage down
the coast with friends. So we are turning up the
lantern to full and shedding maximum light on this
year’s game plan.
Line-up -
The first and almighty announcement of who’s
been lured from far and near to grace the grand
Falls Festival stages will be made in the
first week of August.
Tickets - Tickets
go on sale August 16th. Tickets to the Marion Bay
event will now be sold in all outlets.
So you can now buy your ticket for Tassie from your
regular Falls Festival outlet – be it Hobart,

you hoist yourself
off the couch and jump all over like an Aussie soccer
fan. Leave that heart pinned on your sleeve, touch
up your green & gold face paint, re-inflate that
kangaroo and sign up to a new celebration – one
where our heroes are the musicians for the fine tunes
and good vibes they provide.

tickets to The Falls Festival will be allocated
to subscribers
and available for purchase
by subscribers after the first grand line-up announcement
hits the press and before remaining tickets are released.

your chance to go in the subscriber draw, you
must go to www.fallsfestival.com between July 3
