HOW GOMEZ OPERATE

Gomez will be tearing all over this fine land greasin’ the cogs of the good time industry presenting toons from their new long player How We Operate this August and September.

Beginning in Adelaide , the tour will take in all capital cities as well for the first time for the band, Darwin and Newcastle.

Currently touring the U.K and North America on an extensive tour, the band will hit the European Festival circuit – with spots on T In The Park in Scotland and Oxygen – before heading to Australia.

Bursting onto the scene in the 1990s, winning the prestigious Mercury prize for their debut album Bring It On, Gomez have continued their remarkable 10 year career, with releases such as the critically acclaimed Liquid Skin and 2004’s EMI swansong Split The Difference.

Released in May this year, How We Operate marks the quintet’s fifth album and the first studio release released through Dave Matthews’ ATO Records in America, and distributed by Shock in Australia. Produced by Gang of Four member Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) the album is a stellar collection of lush melodies and beautiful pop songs, including the powerhouse title track, the uplifting gem See The World and the playfully longing Girlshapedlovedrug.

Familiar visitors to our shores, Gomez started their love affair with Australian audiences with their first tour in 1999, and the romance never stopped. Known for their compelling live performances, and with a set list boasting hits, misses, jams, ridiculous humour and heart felt tenderness, it’s little wonder we love ‘em so much.

Special guests for all shows will be the Vasco Era.
