The album, entitled Vessels, was recorded in Adelaide and mixed in Glasgow, Scotland with producer Tony Doogan, who has previously worked with Mogwai, Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian and Mountain Goats. Vessels features nine completely new tracks from the band and a reworking of their earlier single “Steal Their Gold”.

Vessels will be released on Dot Dash here in Australia and on the legendary 4AD label (home of TV On The Radio, The Pixies, Breeders, Thievery Corporation, Mountain Goats) elsewhere in the world.

BBC radio’s legendary Steve Lamacq bestowing Single of the Week status on the band late last year and the UK music press also have the band firmly on their radar.

After just finishing two massive shows with New York Cities Tv On The Radio and the release of their debut album “Vessels” on September 2nd Wolf & Cub will hit the road throughout Sept & Oct on the “Vessels” album tour.

On the tour, Wolf & Cub will be joined by the hottest of hot young things up until the tour hits Adelaide, Sydney’s Mercy Arms, who have just played a series of dates with the Strokes. At the Sydney show last week, Julian Casablancas announced from the stage “...they’re gonna be a big deal”. And how.
