MORE FUN IN THE FACTORY

Who’s the best rock ‘n roll band in the country? Dallas Crane people, and if you’re not already converted, you’d better believe it and start spreading the gospel.

Since scoring three ARIA award nominations (including Best Rock Album) in 2004 for their third album Dallas Crane, the guys have shown that they are back and cracking the whip this month with “Curiosity”, the eagerly-anticipated first single from their new album Factory Girls.

Produced by Jonathan Burnside, “Curiosity” is an explosive little scorcher that delves deep into the forbidden fruits of desire, bloodstained stilletos and all that surrounds it - it’s decidedly DC delicious and one the guys say is “about having fun with the deep, dark recesses of the human soul”.

Curious? You should be, and making for an even better reason to get this single is the inclusion of three exclusive B-sides: “Lovers and Sinners”, “Mine Mine Mine” and “Come See Me”.

And to celebrate the forthcoming release of Factory Girls, Dallas Crane will be hitting the road in September and October to play songs from their new album as well as all of your past favourites. Renowned for their live performances, these will be must see shows for any self respecting lover of rock n roll! Support will be by The Exploders and Devil Rock Four on all dates.

Dates:
Thursday 28th September - Bar on the Hill, Newcastle
Friday 29th September - The Metro, Sydney
Saturday September 30 - The Zoo, Brisbane
Thursday October 5 - The Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide
Friday October 6 - Hi-Fi Bar, Melbourne
Saturday October 7 - Peninsula Lounge, Melbourne

GERSEY FOR WARMTH

One the eve of the release of their third album, No Satellites, Melbourne band Gersey announce their album launch tour to support arguably one of the strongest local releases of the year.

Gerseys latest offering is a natural evolution from the much heralded Storms Dressed as Stars (2002) and the cracking debut Hope Springs (2000). No Satellites continues with the bands explorations into dark cinematic soundscapes while veering into directions that have them inhabiting a more immediate and robust world.

No Satellites was produced by Dean Turner and mixed by Tim Whitten, and sees Gersey more than live up to the promise of past recordings. They have delivered an ultimately career defining record.

The first single taken from No Satellites is “No Love”, championed by Triple J and currently all over RRR, PBS FM, RTR and 4ZZZZ.

Revered for captivating and intense live shows, Gersey return to the live front for a national tour and a bag of new songs that will thrill fans of the band.

To celebrate the release of No Satellites, Gersey hit the road across the country, September and October, to celebrate this wonderful recording.
