FINAL SPLENDOUR
RELEASES
Splendour In The
Grass organisers can announce that a FINAL, STRICTLY
LIMITED, ONLINE ONLY general release ticket sale
will take place this FRIDAY JULY 7TH.
Splendour organisers offered refunds on tickets
up until last Friday, June 30th. Refunded tickets
then went into a special release of tickets to Byron
Shire residents only, as a way of saying ’thanks’
to our host community. This release of tickets took
place yesterday (Sunday 2nd July), but not all of
the tickets were sold. Accordingly, Splendour In
The Grass organisers have decided to break their
own rule and do a final release of tickets for the
general public.
From our email and telephone inquiries we know there
are lots of people out there still keen to snare
a ticket. There is only a strictly limited quantity
of tickets up for grabs, so get online on Friday
if you want one. There will be no further ticket
releases and no tickets available at the venue.
Please note the same
purchasing process will apply as with the original
on sale
date. ALL ticket holder’s
names and dates of birth MUST be supplied at the
time of purchase. Therefore, if you are purchasing
tickets for friends, you will need to have their
name (correctly spelt) plus their date of birth as
listed on their relevant photo ID. So if you intend
to buy tickets for 10 friends, you must supply their
correct name and date of birth as per their photo
identification at the time of purchase.

ANTISKEPTIC
FINALLY RETURN
You’d be forgiven
for wondering where Antiskeptic had disappeared
to in recent times but the band has undergone a rebirth and is poised
to return, bigger, better and more energised than
ever before.
Rewind to 2004 and the release of their second album
Aurora – recorded
without original bassist Sean Daly who had left to
pursue other interests – the album found favour
with radio programmers around the country and tracks
from the album dominated Triple J’s
Net 50.
The subsequent tours using fill in bassists boasted
a heavier rock edge, set venues alight and featured
hot young support bands including Gyroscope, Kisschasy
and After The
Fall.
Fast forward to 2006 and after some
serious soul searching, the original band is back
and re-energised – the
chemistry between all three members has been re-ignited.
With a new EP Monuments already at the
pressing plant boasting some of the most focused
songs the band have committed
to tape, Antiskeptic are set to get back in the van
and wow Australian punters once again.
After seven years playing music together and their
fair share of ups and downs, the band has never felt
more alive.
